August 2013– During the Wyoming Solid Waste and Recycling Association (WSWRA) Annual Conference held in Powell, WY, The Recycling Task Force was then renamed the “Diversion Committee”.

December 2012– In an effort to harness the motivation of RTF members, a face-to-face meeting facilitated by Laurie Batchelder Adams, was held. The intent was to begin an interactive dialog between RTF members to identify, explore and determine specific actions plus their corresponding initiatives.

August 2012– During the Wyoming Solid Waste and Recycling Association (WSWRA) Annual Conference held in Casper, WY, The Recycling Task Force (RTF) began the process of identifying specific actions and tasks. The impetus for embarking on a strategic or action plan was the announcement of the impending release of Wyoming Solid Waste Diversion Study. The study, commissioned by the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality, will serve as a foundation in the formulation of a strategic (action) plan.
